About Me

Hi, I’m Tyler ! I’m a software developer in Toronto with a degree in Honours Computer Science(Co-op) from McMaster University. Throughout my career and projects, I have developed my understanding of various concepts and skills pertaining to computer science. I have attended various hackathons and have made the most of my time there, networking and absorbing as much information as possible. I am enthralled by the computer science community and its work ethic and am an open source enthusiast and co-creator of OpenHarvest. I have recently been awarded the title of volunteer hero by IBM for this project!

Cofounder of OpenHarvest

OpenHarvest is a platform designed to manage farmers, fields, and crops to ensure the farmers succeed in making profits. Task timelines are given for each crop by a recommendation engine, then confirmed by a verification engine utilizing drones and ML models to allow farmers to collect blockchain based reputation tokens for financial institutions.

IBM Future Blue

I am proud to be a part of Future Blue, a student filled community of interns. I have met many people and attended workshops to hone my skills and plan my career. I am so grateful for this comminty, it has allowed me to make many new connections and I have made many great memories from my time at the events

Deltahacks is a 24 hour hackathon that enables 700 students to create a project to make a change, whether it be in education, health, finance, or other fields. I feel that it is an amazing event that brings hackers of all levels together to make a positive difference in the world. I have taken part in Deltahacks for 3 hears to put my efforts in bringing the event together
